They said I was a family embarrassment.
A lost cause.
A girl who would ruin her life.
So I believed them —
and for a while, I played the part.
But my rebellion wasn’t evil.
It was a cry for freedom.
A body begging to be trusted with its own fire.
A heart desperate to know love that didn’t punish.
Then, at twenty-nine, I met the man who didn’t try to break me.
He didn’t tell me to calm down or shrink or play small.
He handed me the match and said, “Light it.”
And that’s when I learned —
the wild woman doesn’t need to be caged.
She needs to be witnessed.
She needs to be guided back to her truth.
She needs to remember that her fire was never wrong —
it was sacred.
Now I dance barefoot in the ashes of who I used to be.
I howl under moons I used to hide from.
I breathe deeply in the body I once tried to escape.
I am not too much —
I am finally enough.
My wildness is not a wound; it’s a rebirth.
It’s the voice of every woman who was ever told to quiet down,
be good,
stay small.

Embodiment Practice: Remembering the Wild Within
A sacred ritual for remembering your fire and coming home to your body.
This is a practice of release, remembrance, and reclamation — a homecoming to the untamed part of you that’s always been there, waiting to be trusted again.
You don’t need anything fancy. Just your body, your breath, and a willingness to feel.
Let this be your ritual — your moment to stop performing and start remembering.
1) Arrive
Find a quiet space — dim the lights, light a candle if you want. Take off your shoes. Let your feet touch the ground. Close your eyes and inhale deeply through your nose, exhale through your mouth. Do this three times until your breath feels like an anchor. Whisper softly:
“I am here. I am whole. I am wild, and I am safe.”
2) Unravel
Let your shoulders drop. Let your neck roll. Let your body sway gently side to side. Start to shake — your hands, your arms, your hips — like you’re dusting off expectations that were never yours to carry. Whisper as you move:
“I release the need to be good.”
“I release the need to be small.”
“I release the need to be perfect.”
This isn’t performance — it’s purification. Let your body move however it wants to — messy, soft, fierce, still.
3) Ignite
Place one hand over your heart and one over your lower belly. Feel the pulse beneath your palms — that rhythm is your wild woman. Breathe into it. Visualize a golden ember glowing inside your belly — the seat of your power. With every inhale, it brightens. With every exhale, it expands.
Say aloud:
“My fire is not too much.”
“My passion is my prayer.”
“My body remembers who I am.”
4) Express
If emotion rises — let it. If you want to cry, sigh, moan, or laugh — do it. Your voice is sacred sound. Let it echo through your body like thunder. If you have music that moves you, play it now. Let the rhythm guide your hips. Let your breath guide your pace. This is what freedom feels like — not polished, not pretty, but alive.
5) Return
Slowly come back to stillness. Place both hands over your heart and whisper:
“I trust myself now.”
“I honor my wild.”
“I am fire, and I am light.”
Take one deep, grounding breath. Exhale audibly. Smile softly to yourself.
You’ve just remembered her — the woman underneath all the conditioning, the one who moves like wind and loves like wildfire.
